Physical Therapist
Kate first discovered her love for physical therapy one summer in high school while helping train a therapy dog at a local skilled nursing facility. She somehow always ended up walking the dog around the physical therapy clinic because she was fascinated by the physical therapists and all the unique exercises they would demonstrate for their patients. Her curiosity and love for PT grew from there and eventually became her life's calling. Kate earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Tennessee in 2014 (Go Vols!) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mercer University in Atlanta in 2018.
Originally from Maryville, Tennessee, Kate began her career in the Athens, Georgia, area in July 2018, where she worked in an outpatient clinic for a few years before coming back home to Tennessee in 2022. She is thrilled to be a part of the Cookeville community and excited to be so much closer to friends and family in East and Middle Tennessee. As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Kate enjoys consistently continuing her education so she can better support her patients as they strive to meet their individual goals. She especially loves guiding her patients along on their journeys to recovery and helping them get back to doing whatever it is that they love to do!
When she's away from the clinic, Kate enjoys hiking, exploring new places, cheering for the University of Tennessee's athletics teams, walking her dog, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
